loveluton: the podcast
We bring you our latest innovation: the loveluton podcast. Here is a bit of a rundown of what that's all about.
Why a podcast?
Over the past twelve months, we've been chatting quite a bit about church - what is important and what we like about it. We thought it would be good to record some of that conversation, and see if it helps anyone that listens to it.
It goes along with some course, you're running, right?
Yep - that's right. Some people have been coming around our community recently and to help them decide whether they would like to committ to that community, we are running a series of evenings. We call this course exploring your connection with city life church. Catchy, eh?

How can I listen?
There are three ways that you can listen to the podcast.
The first way is to click on the latest podcast on the home page of the website. The podcast will start playing through the little speakers on your laptop or desktop and you can pause it but you'll need internet access, my friend.
The second way is to follow the link on the homepage to audio/video. Go to the top left corner 'home' and click on the audio/video link on the drop-down menu. From here you can look at everything we have uploaded to the site and download files to your computer so you can listen to them later.
The final way is to subscribe to the podcast using iTunes or a similar audio jukebox application. To subscribe in iTunes, click this link. It will open iTunes and begin to download the latest installment. In another programme, copy this url to your 'subscribe to podcast' options:

It's hardly Radio 4. What are does it sound a bit crap?
Because we're learning a new skill. There are some things you can do for your listening pleasure. Try pumping up the volume - if you're playing from a computer, maybe try listening on a hi-fi instead as you can turn it up a bit louder. Also, most programmes allow you to adjust the settings of playback.
Downloading, rather than listening online, will give you more options. We will get better as time goes on, both at recording and at mixing down.
Are you going to do any more?
Maybe... at the moment the plan is that we'll re-record the 'casts around new year time, having reviewed how the exploring your connection course is going. But also, we could perhaps make a church podcast that reflected our community. A podcast that anyone could listen to, whatever faith they have or don't have and enjoy - a loveluton podcast that was fun, funny, luton-centric, interesting and talked a little bit about church and god.
