City Life Church Luton

City Life Church in Luton started meeting publicly in 2006. However, the seeds of its conception go further back, and draw together strands of support from a number of different sources.

Leadership

Gavin Shuker leads the church. He was born in Luton, leaving to attend Cambridge University before returning to the town in 2006 to establish the church. His long term committment is to Luton.

Gavin convenes a leadership team of three, and a wider leadership team of eight. Their role is to help the whole church community to best express and outwork the vision that we share. They are:

Oversight

The church benefits from being part of a wider family of churches, known as Plumbline. A registered charity, number 327271, Plumbline is an organisation that seeks to plant, encourage and develop churches in East Anglia, Ireland and around the world.

The community was established by a group of people 'planted out' of City Life Church in Cambridge and we retain very close links with the Cambridge community. Through Tim Anderson, team leader at CLC, they provide our apostolic and practical oversight as a church.
