Exploring your connection with CLC

There is an ongoing need for people to explore their connection with City Life Church. The way we make space for that exploration is through a course called 'Exploring your Connection'.

Brakelight Dusk

Who is this course for?

The course is for those people that are
  • just looking & exploring faith
  • thinking of joining us
  • wanting to learn about church
  • formalising links with our church

Pylon SunsetWhat are the aims?

It will help you to
  • discover if God is knitting you in to this church
  • settle in to the community
  • work out what your contribution to this church can be
  • ask questions you have about our beliefs and practice

What is the format?

The course is run on a four week cycle. You can jump into the course at any point over those four weeks and you don’t need to be able to do all dates in one go to commit to coming.

The order is usually as follows:
  1. Vision and values
  2. Spiritual life
  3. Relationships and community
  4. Following Jesus

Each evening will run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, and begin with dinner.

In the week before each evening, listen to the appropriate podcast that discusses some of the issues related to each topic. We ask you to listen to this before you come along.

After dinner someone from the leadership team of the church will usually go through some key things about our community. It’s not a lecture and the aim is to encourage people to ask questions and generally interact.

After that there is room for discussion as a group about our previous experience, thoughts arising and any remaining questions.

If you have any questions after the evening has finished get in touch either by phone or by clicking Ask a Question.

We’ll finish by praying together.

What are the topics?

Each topic explores a number of different aspects.

How we are run and overseen
What our vision is
How we outwork that vision
